Amarnath Pilgrimage Helicopter Operators 2024

The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) selects helicopter operators every two years to provide helicopter services to pilgrims visiting the Amarnath cave. In 2026, the SASB selected four helicopter operators from given names below:

  • Pawan Hans Helicopters
  • Global Vectra Helicorp
  • Himalayan Heli
  • UTair India
  • Heritage Aviation
  • Kestrel Aviation
  • Thumby Aviation
  • Arrow Aviation
  • Summit Aviation

These operators provide helicopter services from both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes to the Amarnath cave. The helicopter services are a popular option for pilgrims who want to save time and effort on the journey to the cave.

The helicopter operators are selected based on a number of factors, including their safety record, their fleet of helicopters, and their ability to meet the demand for helicopter services. The SASB also requires the helicopter operators to comply with a number of safety regulations.

The helicopter services are a safe and convenient way to reach the Amarnath cave. However, it is important to note that the helicopter services are weather-dependent and may be cancelled due to bad weather. Pilgrims should also be aware of the cancellation policies of the helicopter operators before booking their tickets.
